Alpacas of Nantahala was established in January 2007 with the vision of producing quality alpacas for sale and breeding. We decided, after researching the Alpaca Lifestyle, that we wanted to live that lifestyle at our mountain home in Topton, North Carolina. This area is famous for white water rafting on the Nantahala River, thus our name. Our farm motto is "Where fleece flows like the river."

February 2009 update: We attended the Jacksonville Alpaca Show where Wodige Kalsetsi; Cherokee for Brown Candy; took second place in her color class!!! Congratulations to her she is off to the Southern Select Alpaca show in Tennessee next!!!
Here I am giving our Alpaca Chocolate a "pep talk" prior to entering the show ring. Must of worked, she took home a ribbon!
During the Jacksonville show they asked for products made from Alpaca so Celia made a hooded sweater for our granddaughter Savannah who gladly modeled her new sweater. Celia missed winning the prize by one vote! Savannah didn't seem to mind... She loves her first Alpaca sweater!
The yarn is from our alpaca Eyefull.
